Martina Vaneckova (Vaněčková) is a Registered Psychologist, Certified Child and Youth Care Counsellor, and the owner and therapist at Growth and Healing Psychology. Originally from Slovakia, Martina immigrated to Canada and understands firsthand how life transitions can deeply affect one’s sense of identity and connection with others.
She believes that therapy offers a powerful opportunity to better understand oneself, develop meaningful skills, and enhance psychological flexibility—an essential strength for navigating today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world.
Martina creates a safe, warm, and compassionate space where clients can explore the challenges that may be keeping them from the life they want to live. She takes an integrative and individualized approach tailored to each person’s unique needs. Her training includes Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Systems Therapy.
